This year, the Latin Builders Association held their 30th Annual Fishing Tournament Challenge and Family Getaway at the beautiful Hawks Cay Resort. LBA has been holding the tradition since 1973 where families can enjoy an entire weekend by the water.
The first day was Luau night which began with a presidential welcome cocktail in the oversees room at Hawks Cay.
Day two consisted of the kids tournament and this year’s theme was “Finding Dory” in which all kids dressed up in blue. We had kids from ages 5 to 14 years old in the competition. Also on day two, people got to enjoy LBA’s Taste of the Caribbean for a night of music and dancing.
With 17 boats participate in this year’s fishing challenge, on Day Three, the competition began! 1st place winner with 48.4 pounds went to “Lopefra” group who passed it over to their sister company and undefeated winners, “Go Tilt” group. They went home with $2500 dollars.
Second place was awarded to “Stewart Tilghman Fox Bianchi and Cain” group with 33.1 pounds and took home 1500 dollars.
Third place went to “Betterwaste” group with 30.4 pounds and took home a prize of 1000 dollars.
