The Latin Builders Association October luncheon was held right by the water at the beautiful Rusty Pelican in Key Biscayne this year.
Kicking off the luncheon was LBA Director, Melissa Tapanes-llahues, introducing this year’s guest speakers: Miami-Dade Commissioner Esteban Bovo, Jr. and Congressman Carlos Curbelo.
During our luncheon, an impressive presentation was shown to our members and guests about the current transportation challenges facing in Miami-Dade County. The map demonstrated the county’s metro system and was compared to other transportation systems in other cities like D.C. and Chicago.
Guests and board members also got a chance to ask questions about the system and how the community can help better public transportation in South Florida.
Also, in honor of breast cancer awareness month, members and guests wore pink to the event in order to raise awareness.
