Miami – The Latin Builders Association hosted its Presidential Installation Gala at the J.W. Marriott Marquis Miami on Saturday, February 20th. This year’s theme was “Havana Nights” to install LBA’s 22nd President, Alex Lastra.

Latin Builders Association guest speaker was Johnny Beltran and Master of Ceremonies was WSVN-7 anchor, Diana Diaz.

The presentation began with the Coral Reef Senior High School Barber Shop Quartet by signing the national anthem. Eleventh Judicial Circuit of Florida Judge, Barbara Areces, sworn-in the Board of Directors, Junior Directors, Honorary Directors, and the Latin Builders Association Staff.

Also, Miami-Dade County County Clerk, Harvey Ruvin sworn-in the LBA Executive Board.

Alex Lastra was introduced by LBA’s former president Guillermo Fernandez on stage with a special gift and a shadow box. Lastra was then sworn-in by Eleventh Judicial Circuit of Florida Judge, Vicky del Pino. Lastra was lastly honored with a Proclamation by Miami-Dade County and City of Hialeah.

After the ceremony, guests danced the night away to the rhythm of the drums and went home with a very well known South Florida favorite treat: Cuban Cafecito!
